OUR PADDINGTON STUDIO
When you walk through the beautiful pink door of our studio you are transported to the magical world of Paddington Weddings, surrounded by luxurious fabrics, stylish designer bridal gowns and fabulous bridal accessories. Brides have been finding their dream dresses at Paddington Weddings for over 30 years and the excitement and happiness has been absorbed into the walls. Anne and Gill strive to offer a relaxed yet professional environment, putting their brides at ease and making their journey simple and stress free.
INITIAL BRIDAL CONSULTATION
When you book an appointment at Paddington Weddings you are given an exclusive fitting room for you and your bridal party. One of our experienced team will guide you through the collection, helping you try on the gowns giving expert advice on shape, colour and style. At the end of the appointment we sketch of your dream dress with an official quote quotes. We don’t mind if you want to take some photos to help you remember all the wonderful styles available.
OUR VISION
Anne is always aware that she wants to design gowns for ‘real brides’, who are going to eat, dance and have a ball on their wedding day. Each gown is created giving as much support as possible in comfortable, breathable fabrics that will cope in our Queensland climate. Her Wedding dresses are modern in design but she also wants you to look back in 20 years and love it as much then as the day you wear it. Her award winning designs are known to stand the test of time for their simple, elegant style and created in quality European fabrics to the highest standards. Your gown can be either one of our gowns or a combination of the bodice of one gown but the skirt of another, you have the option of adding sleeves and changing fabrics when possible. You really do get the dress of your dreams that ticks all the boxes and makes you feel a million dollars.
FINDING "THE ONE"
Once you have decided to become part of our Bertossi Brides family we make the process easy for you. A 50% deposit is required at booking, which we advise to do as early as possible to secure your fabric and our time.
Measurements are taken around 5 to 6 months out from your wedding, your final 50% is due at this appointment (unless you are from out of town and we can work around different timeframes) Our talented team will then start working on your gown, adapting the pattern to ensure a fabulous fit.
You then come back around 6 weeks later for a fitting, where we level the hem and are also looking at the general fit of the gown and adjusting where needed. Your gown will be ready for collection around 6 weeks later, it is always good to know that your gown is everything you dreamed of a few months out from your wedding, it reduces your stress.
All fittings are included in the price of your dress so you don’t need to worry about any additional costs .

With Paddington Weddings you are in very safe hands, now more than ever we want to know where our important purchases come from and that you are not going to be worried about delivery dates or late arrivals. All our gowns are ethically created in our Brisbane studio by Anne and her experienced team of seamstresses, the quality of your gown will be second to none. Anne also only uses the highest quality fabrics from France, Italy and the UK where they still created silks and laces on traditional looms. Fabric is her inspiration and when possible she loves to travel to the mills to meet the fabric designers and work with them to come up with some exclusive laces and fabrics.
From the moment you first walk in through our pink door to the day you collect your gown your happiness is of the upmost importance, we want to create a beautiful bridal gown for you but we also want to leave you with special memories of your time here with
us.
MEET THE TEAM
Anne Bertossi is the owner and head designer here at Paddington Weddings, you will still meet Anne in the studio and she is still hands on with each and every one of her designs. Anne strives for perfection in her designs on a daily basis and she still feels blessed every day that she is part of this wonderful world.
‘Gill’ (Anne’s sister) is the manager here at Paddington Weddings, she is the smiling face who will greet you at the door and look after you throughout the entire process. Gill’s organisational skills are legendary and her customer service is award winning, she prides herself on giving honest advice and making dress shopping the most magical time…
‘Josie’, Anne and Gill’s fabulous mum, works alongside the team every day. Josie has the most amazing knowledge of dressmaking and fantastic attention to detail for the hand finishing and crystal work that go into the designs. Josie also runs the alterations side of the business, from her years of creating gowns she is able to help many brides who have purchased their gowns elsewhere to achieve a great fit.
‘Ellen’ and ‘Anna’ are two of the most amazing seamstresses you will ever meet, their decades of experience mean the gowns are created to the highest possible standards. They are both dedicated to their craft and work alongside Anne every day making our dreams come true with their magic fingers. What these ladies don’t know about dressmaking isn’t worth knowing!
‘Michelle’ has a very special gift as a pattern maker and cutter and works alongside Anne individually cutting each gown to the bride’s measurements. Her ability to adapt patterns to fit means our gowns magically fit in all the right places. You will often find Michelle helping brides in the studio too, she has an in-depth knowledge of fashion and is great at giving advice on shape and style too.
Our workrooms overlook the Brisbane city, the light filled room is filled with the most beautiful silks and laces and it is truly inspirational to spend time in this special environment with such a talented group of women.
