What to expect when you book your exclusive Bertossi Brides gown here at Paddington Weddings.
HOW DO I GO ABOUT BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT:
Yay! Congrats on taking the very first steps on finding your dream bridal gown! We offer various ways to book your appointment, however we recommend using our
amazing online booking service, although if this doesn’t work for you, there’s no need to stress, you can always give us a ring on (07) 3368 4933 or email us on email@example.com to book your appointment.
DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING TO MY APPOINTMENT:
Before coming in, we suggest you look through our website or socials to see what you like! This way you have some idea of what you like and make the most of your appointment. Also we’d advise you wear a skin colour bra and seamless pair of underwear that way when you try on dresses there are no lines. Just come with an open mind and let our experienced staff guide you in your journey.
WHEN SHOULD I PLACE MY ORER:
We advise that you place your order a minimum of 6 – 8 months before your wedding. Because our designer bridal gowns are 100% Australian made, ethically created in our studio right here in Paddington, this means we only have space for a limited amount of bookings, therefore it’s best to be quick and book sooner rather than later as we don’t want you to miss out in becoming a Bertossi Bride.
In some cases however, we can offer to help out brides with a shorter lead time. So always let us know your situation and if we can help in any way we will. We never add on rush fees or extra charges for shorter lead times, it is simply down to if we have the time in our work schedule to create your gown.
I FOUND MY DREAM DRESS AT PADDINGTON WEDDINGS, WHATS NEXT:
We are so happy you chose a Bertossi Brides Gown for your wedding day! We require a 50% deposit to secure your dream dress, this can be paid with a credit card or by direct transfer. Your next payment is due when we start making your dress which is 5– 6 month prior to your day, at this point we will take your measurements and begin creating your wedding dress.
HOW MANY ARE FITTINGS REQUIRED:
After we have your measurements, just one fitting is needed along with your final collection appointment for your Bertossi Brides gown, this way you can focus on the other aspects of your wedding planning journey and trust your
dress is in the very best hands!
DO YOU OFFER IN HOUSE ALTERATIONS:
We do! The hemming of your dress is included in the price of your gown and due to our gowns being created with your actual measurements in mind, it is generally only very minimal alterations that are needed for our Bertossi brides gowns and our talented team of seamstresses are happy to help.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE PICK UP:
At the collection appointment, you will try on your wedding dress again as well as any accessories you may have purchased to see the final look! From there you will take your exclusive Bertossi Brides gown home. We do advise you try on your gown again about 2 – 3 weeks prior to your wedding, if you have lost weight and need some final adjustments just give us a call and book in with us, we are always here for you if you need us.
HOW DO I STORE MY BERTOSSI BRIDES GOWN:
In between your collection and wedding day, keep your wedding dress hanging inside the bag. Then around 1 week prior to your wedding, take your dress out of the bag to let it air and steam out any creases if needed.
After your wedding have your dress dry cleaned soon as possible. We recommend using a reputable dry cleaner such as Leons in East Brisbane (07 3391 1412) who has a great understanding of fine fabric. Store your dress in acid free paper in a box as hanging the dress will distort the shape of it over time.
