15th May update – Due to restrictions easing we are so excited to say we are now open for limited appointments in the studio!
- We are asking brides to be on time so as not to chance crossing over with other brides.
- Brides are limited to bring one ‘star guest’ with them to the appointment at the moment, feel free to ‘Facetime’ as many friends as you would like and photos and videos are permitted.
- If you or your guest feel at all unwell please reschedule your appointment.
- We are following strict hygiene processes, allowing time to clean down the rooms between each appointment and have hand sanitiser for all on arrival.
We thank you in advance for your understanding, your health and the health of our team is of the utmost importance to us, these new procedures will allow you to continue planning your special day in a safe and controlled environment. Of course ‘Virtual Appointments’ will still be available for brides who are unable to travel for appointments!
16th April Update: During these uncertain times we have decided to stop physically seeing new ‘brides to be’ at the moment for design consultations. This decision has not been taken lightly, we feel it is our social responsibility to keep our brides and our team safe at this time.
However just because we can’t meet you in person at the moment it doesn’t mean we are not here for you. Team Paddington are still in the studio, creating stunning gowns for our brides and making dreams come true.
We are limiting fittings to essential appointments as needed for production and adhering to strict social distancing and the highest hygiene standards (Our new air freshener is Glen20 in our studio at the moment!) Our team are also staggering their work hours to reduce contact but still allow our stunning gowns to be created.
With Paddington Weddings you are in safe hands, we are a strong family business who have been around for over 27 years and we have a secure business plan in place to navigate us through this stressful time and we will be here, more magical than ever, offering our award winning bridal experience for decades to come.
You can still contact us via phone, email or Facetime for a ‘Virtual Styling Appointment’. We have changed our studio hours during this time to:
Tuesday to Friday 10-4pm but virtual appointments are available out of hours if needed.
We are constantly following Government guidelines and as soon as we feel it is safe to open our studio again we will be welcoming you all with open arms (following social distancing still of course!)
At the moment we are planning to reassess the situation at the beginning of May so keep any eye on our social media pages for any updates.
“I have already booked my dream wedding dress with you, is all OK with my order?”
There are so many things to stress about in the world at the moment and your dress certainly isn’t one of them, our team of talented seamstresses have all orders under control. For brides who have had measurements taken these gowns are already in production, any bride due to have their measurements taken this can be done in the studio if you are able to attend a fitting or we can offer a ‘Virtual Measurements Appointment’ where we guide you through being measured by your isolation buddy!
“My wedding date has changed, what happens to my order?“
You have so many vendors to reschedule right now but you don’t need to worry about us. For the majority of brides we are continuing as normal with the production of their gown but offering a free, extra appointment before their new wedding date to check for any alterations that may be needed and steam up their gown beautifully. We want to make sure you have that excited fitting that all our brides deserve just before their wedding and this all comes at no cost to brides who have had to change their plans.
Where possible we will hold off on production till nearer the date, feel free to call Gill to chat over all the options but rest assured we are here for you through all of this.
“My Wedding is now over 12 months away, how should I store my dress?“
Our Bertossi Brides gowns come in a breathable bag that can be left hanging and it will keep your gown safe and sound. Just ensure you have the gown securely on its hanging tags and not on any lace detail if you have any (this will distort the lace and neckline over time.) Due to our gowns being created in lightweight, delicate fabrics there is no chance of damage to the gowns. If you are in any way unsure and you have a spare bedroom then keeping the gown inside the bag but laying it flat on a bed is also a great option for storage. Feel free to call Gill and she will go through all of this for you and be able to individualise the advice depending on the gown design and fabric.
If you are unable to collect your gown or have nowhere to store it we are happy to store your gown for you till your new wedding date, so please don’t worry about this, we are here to help.
“My wedding is planned for October – December and I still don’t have my dress, what should I do?“
We would advise that you organise a ‘Virtual Appointment’ with us so we can help you on this journey during this time. We send out a questionnaire first, asking everything we need to know about your Wedding Dress dreams. We then prepare the studio for you, having gowns we think you will love on our mannequins and chat with you about all the options and show you around the studio (you can even get a sneak peak through the workrooms!) After this appointment we will send you out sketches of the design you love, along with fabric samples and quotes.
Brides can then confidently book in their gown with us and if dates change we are 100% flexible. When it is time for measurements if you can come to the the studio that is great, if not we can offer the ‘Virtual Measurements’ appointment and even have your gown delivered to your door if need be.
“I’m not confident buying online, can I wait till I am able to come in for a normal bridal appointment? If so how late am I able to book my gown?“
If the worry of this awful time is too much for you and you want to wait to see us in person to book you gown we totally understand. Our Bertossi Brides gowns are all made to measure right here in Brisbane, so we are able to create gowns in a lot shorter time frames than most, sometimes in under a month when need be. We also pre purchase all of our most popular beautiful European fabrics so we have everything we need already in the studio to create your gown in lightening speed! Give Gill a call and chat about your situation, we will do everything we can for you to make your wedding dress dreams come true.
Anne, Gill and the entire Paddington Weddings team want to send you all a huge ‘Virtual Hug’. Just know that we are committed to making your wedding day fabulous, whenever that may be…
Take care and stay safe…xxxx
