Please have a read through our 5 helpful wedding photography tips below before choosing your perfect wedding photographer:
- Set a realistic budget for your photography and also remember that your photo’s will be the visual memories of your big day, and if you sacrifice too much with this budget you may end up regretting your decision to skim on this budget.
- That is not to say that you should spend more than you are comfortable with, just shop around for this one. The best referral is always word of mouth, so if a friend of a friend had an amazing photographer for their wedding check out their photo’s and get their contact details for your list of ‘maybe’s’.
- Facebook and other image sharing social media sites are a good place to find photographers you like and contact the photographer directly for a quote.
- Photographers are artists, and some like to get very creative, whereas others are specifically wedding photographers and like to take more traditional photo’s. Therefore, it is important that you let the photographer know what you do and don’t like about posing for your photo’s. Perhaps your hubby-to-be never seems to have a good side when it comes to having his picture taken, so getting him to do things he’s more comfortable with may be a better option than striking a frozen pose.
- If perhaps you have your heart set on a certain photographer just let them know that you would love them to be your photographer, but none of their packages are within your price range. more often than not they will adapt a package to suit your requirements. They will be proud that you really enjoy their work and want their services for your special day.

Bertossi Brides 2012 Collection
Well as you can see the new 2012 images are now on the website. We hope you love the pictures as much as we did, we had great fun at the ‘Empire Theatre’ in Toowoomba shooting these with James Goss from Bon Bon photography. See them in the bridal magazines at the end of the year!
Our Very busy year
Due to a very busy time here at Paddington Weddings we haved decided not the enter the ‘Queenland Bride awards’ this year. We are very sad not to be part but it was just not possible to fit everything in! We will be back next year of course and wish all the other designers lots of luck.
Our bookings are huge for next year already so please keep this in mind if you are planning to come in and see us and don’t leave it too late to book in with us. Due to us individually creating each bridal gown in our store here in Paddington, we limit the number of gowns we take on. In 2011 we had to turn lots of brides away!This is very hard for us to do but essential to ensure the quality of all our gowns and the personalised service that we offer.
